• Jason Turner

    Associate Professor - Head of Acting
    About:

    Study Program Leader (SPA).
    Educated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, and The University of East Anglia. Jason taught full-time at the Lecoq School in Paris for over a decade before moving to Norway. He is an experienced actor, director, practitioner, instructor, and has worked together with many international theatre companies and institutions. Jason teaches a broad range of subjects including Acting, Improvisation, Movement, and Devising. Jason is responsible for the planning and programming of the education.

  • Asgeir Skrove

    Professor - Head of Music
    About:

    Educated in Music at University of Trondheim (NTNU), Asgeir has an extensive and varied background as a musician, composer, arranger, musical director, and teacher. Asgeir played a key role in developing the vision of the acting course since it first began in 2005 and has been the leader of music studies ever since. Over this time, he developed a dedicated music program specifically for actors, to work in conjunction with the Lecoq pedagogy and help enhance the actor’s creative and expressive potential.

  • Merete Brustad

    Associate Professor - Acting
    About:

    Educated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Merete also holds an MA in Drama and Theatre Pedagogy from the Danish School of Education (DPU). Merete is an experienced theatre teacher, director, and instructor within the subjects of Acting, Artistic Production, and Movement.

  • Michael Sharman

    Assistant Professor - Acting
    About:

    Educated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, and The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Michael is an experienced actor, director, movement instructor and theatre-maker, and has toured the world performing original, devised theatre productions. In 2015 he was invited back to the Lecoq school to study Teacher Training and the Laboratory for Movement Studies (LEM) course. He is course coordinator for Acting Skills 1, 2, and 3, and teaches various subject areas such as Acting, Movement, Voice, and Devising.

  • Torgunn Wold

    Associate Professor - Acting
    About:

    Educated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, and at Norges dansehøyskole. Torgunn is a freelance Actor, Director, Choreographer, and Artistic Director of the theatre company Torgunn Produksjoner. Torgunn divides her time between teaching at NORD and devising original theatre productions.

  • Morten Røsrud

    Assistant Professor - Acting
    About:

    Morten was one of the first to complete the bachelor degree in teaterproduksjon og skuespillerfag (Acting & Artistic Production) at Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag (nå Nord universitet) before later returning to NORD to study the school's pedagogy. He also studied Drama Pedagogy at Høgskolen i Bergen. Morten is an established director in Norway as well as an experienced theatre practitioner and actor. In 2018, Morten was awarded a Hedda Award for a production he directed for the company Rimfrost Productions in collaboration with Hålogaland Teater. Morten is course leader for the subjects Artistic Production 1, 2, and 3.

  • Åse-Rakel Bøhn

    About:

    Educated in singing at KHIO, kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, and the Musikkonservatoriet (NTNU) in Trondheim. Åse-Rakel has an MA in Opera, but sings in a variety of different styles when performing her own concerts. As well as having taught at several institutions, Åse-Rakel has extensive experience and a both a singer and conductor. At NORD, Åse-Rakel teaches Singing Technique and Choir.

  • Ragna Lindboe

    About:

    Educated at Den Norske Filmskolen in Lillehammer 2004. Ragna is responsible for teaching film and TV production in the 2nd and 3rd year of the course.

  • Svein Inge Neergård

    Technician
    About:

    Educated at the Nordic Black Theatre School. Svein Inge has worked extensively as a freelance technician and light designer since 1998 and has toured nationally and internationally with various theatre, music and dance productions. He was employed at the Black Box teater in Oslo for many years before he started working at Nord universitet) in 2013 (when it was previously called HiNT).

  • Ola Marius Ryan

    Head of Division (FLU)
    About:

    Head of Division for Arts and Culture within the Faculty of Education and Arts (FLU). Educated with a BA in Music and PPU at the Institutt for musikk (NTNU) and an MA in Opera at KHiO, Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo. Ola Marius has worked extensively as a freelance singer and since 2007 he has worked with performance projects across the country, mainly in Opera and Music Theatre. He is responsible for the organisation and communication of our department within the University faculty.
